THE BRIEF
We were approached by Lucky Cat, a small brand that started life in a sunny kitchen in Brighton in 2018. Their company mission is to make delicious vegan fudge & cakes that rival any of those made with animal ingredients.
THE STRATEGY
The packaging began as home printed header cards stapled to clear bags, but as the desire for vegan products has increased and the brand has grown, there was an obvious need to create a more retail friendly look to compete in the expanding market.
THE CREATIVE
It was important the packaging followed the ethics of the brand so we utilised a recyclable carton with a window cutout to show off the contents which are wrapped in a compostable clear bag. This also gave us a larger area for the graphics.
As the brand owner is a certified cat lover we embraced the brand name in the logo with the simple bold outlined cat.
The packaging needed to shout about the brands core values so these were highlighted with playful fonts and humorous slogans.
THE OUTCOME
Vivid colours and fun branding make these sweet treats appealing to all, vegans, and non-vegans alike. The increase in sales has allowed Lucky Cat Co to expand their range so the brand is going from strength to strength.
